Jonnie Corcoran

Jonnie’s love for film goes back to his childhood when he and his siblings starred in their mother’s Super 8 and 16 MM adventure films. That passion was rekindled during his college years steeped in the classics at the Cinematheque and then again when he lived in New York where he was involved in a start-up film production company.

He is passionate about making sustainability real by re-seeding and regenerating local economies and cultures. In 2005, he co-founded ACORN, the Addison County Relocalization Network, a non-profit community organization promoting local food and agriculture in Addison County, Vermont. As Executive Director, he has been responsible for the ongoing production and management of a variety of marketing and multimedia projects, public events and conferences. He currently serves as the Chair of the ACORN Board of Directors.

Jonnie received his BA in History at Brown University and an MBA in Marketing from Columbia University.

Together with his sister, She Sings to the Stars writer/director Jennifer Corcoran, he is presently engaged in the development of their second film, which will be shot in Ireland.
